Transportation

Major Arterials: Herndon's main street, Elden Street, connects to Fairfax County Parkway in the east and to the Dulles Toll Road on the west. It sits one mile to the east of Route 28.

Public Transit: The Fairfax Connector services several stops in Herndon, connecting to Reston, the metro in Falls Church and Pentagon City. The Herndon-Monroe Park and Ride is slated to become one of the stops for Rail to Dulles and another stop is expected near the CIT building.

Dulles Airport: Herndon is the closest town to Washington Dulles International Airport, a short two miles distance.
